On their Web site they state, "We're making fares easier to read, easier to use!" To me, this translates into, "We're using a lot more paper and spending a lot of money on installing new fare-machine enhancements!"

Portland Trailblazers' fans seem to be everywhere these days. Take a walk in a mall, go downtown, or visit the bars and chances are you will see at least a few people adorned with the red and black Blazer's pinwheel.
A number of UP students come from Oregon and have always supported the Blazers as their team.

When 64-year-old Ron Swan was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple of months ago, the Portland State chapter of Phi Delta Theta rallied around Swan and decided the best way to help their ailing friend was to … grow mustaches.
After Swan's diagnosis, fraternity President Dalton Higginbottom did some research and found "Movember," an international event that turns November into a month-long mustache growing contest designed to raise awareness and money for prostate cancer.

Early last Wednesday morning, I arrived at el Pedagoacuteico, the pedagogic university in Matuiacuten, Venezuela, where I am currently an assistant English literature and drama teacher. The main gates to the university were closed.

During fall break, four trees were removed near the Commons, prompting the College Ecology Club to speak out against the lack of communication between the University and students about the removal.
The protest is planned for tomorrow during the Commons' lunch hours.
